This conference explores the Vietnam War from the varying perspectives of Vietnam veterans, anti-war resisters and representatives from the Vietnamese community. Three panel discussions throughout the day will feature notable voices from those whose lives and politics were profoundly impacted by the Vietnam War as well as those whose contemporary experiences have shaped their views in a variety of ways.
Conference followed by a march beginning at 3:00 p.m. to the Vietnam Memorial on the North Shore where a ceremony will be held honoring
T.J. McGarvey and the Pittsburgh Building Trades
who constructed the memorial with donated labor.
(A shuttle will be provided for those unable to walk to the memorial).
Tickets cost $25 for the general public
$10 for veterans, active military personnel, students and underemployed. Cost includes a continental breakfast and boxed lunch.
