Ron Carver, co-editor with David Cortright and Barbara Doherty of the book, Waging Peace in Vietnam: U.S. Soldiers and Veterans who Opposed the War (New Village Press, Sept. 2019), and creator of the Waging Peace in Vietnam exhibit, reports that, since making a big splash at the Veterans For Peace national convention in Spokane, Washington, this summer, there have been some very successful events around the Waging Peace in Vietnam exhibit and book, with good media coverage. Here are links to two great TV news stories that came out from the event at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs on Friday, October 18, 2019:
- “Vietnam War vets tell stories of resistance,” PIX11 News, New York.
- “Remembering the Vietnam War protests,” FOX5 New York.
The next big event for the Waging Peace in Vietnam exhibit and book tour is on Veterans Day 2019, at the opening of a WagingPeace-GWagenda-4pg-100919C at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., dedicated to the 50th anniversary commemoration of GI and civilian resistance to the American war in Vietnam.
